Chocolate Coated Gingers
The English name ginger ultimately originates from the Tamil inji ver. The Chinese make a kind of dried ginger candy that is fermented and cooked in sugar until soft, making it a confectionery. Naturally, being a Cookie House , we were concerned with this use of the ginger root.
However, aside from being delicious, it is also consumed to suppress coughing and addresses various forms of digestive problems , along with a host of other medicinal conditions. We believe that the honey and the chocolate we use to coat it go a long way towards making this some very nice tasting “medicine”.
